Sneaker Bunko, Kadokawa Shoten's light novel imprint, has announced that an anime adaptation of Tetsuto Uesu's fantasy light novel series Shinmai Maou no Testament/The Testament of Sister New Devil is in the works. This is the second anime adaptation for Uesu following the 2012 TV anime based on his Hagure Yusha no Esutetika/Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero novels.
The story centers on a first grade high school student Basara Tojo. One day out of the blue, his father Jin declares his remarriage and brings two sisters-in-raw, Mio and Maria Naruse, to their house. Jin, who is a professional photographer, soon goes on an overseas trip, then Basara has to start living with his new sisters by himself. But right after Jin leaves, the sisters' attitude totally change and they overwhelm Basara showing their true identity as a rookie devil and succubus. They try to make a master and servant contract with Basara. But by accident, he becomes their master instead.
The first volume of The Testament of Sister New Devil novel series illustrated by Nekosuke Okuma (Nitro+)
was published on September 29, 2012 and the newest fifth volume will be released on March 29. The
