When a notable manga author posts a sketch on Twitter, it generally gets 2,000-10,000 retweets. For example, Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima's New Year pic got a few hundred shy of 7,000.
Artist Soraria introduced a series of violent couple's "what happened next" sequence, and the first part of the sensational run of sketches got a whopping 55,000 retweets.
Most of the sequences tread a line between brutal slapstick and plain disturbing, but the first fell firmly into the latter category. A disclaimer that he doesn't endorse the illustrated behavior nor should anyone repeat it, but that doesn't make the sequence less troubling.
