A barrage of new streaming announcements at Crunchyroll is now underway, and it’s not just limited to anime! Case in point: The J-Drama Mischievous Kiss - Love in Tokyo, based on the manga Itazura na Kiss by Kaoru Tada, is now available for viewing!
All 16 episodes will be available on Crunchyroll, starting with episodes 1 and 2, whih are available now for Premium members, with free members able to watch one week later. Additional episodes will be added every Wednesday at 2pm Pacific Time, 2-3 episodes at a time.
Background and story
Itazura na Kiss is based on the manga of the same name by Kaoru Tada, and has numerous adaptations, including anime and dramas.
This latest J-Drama version, Mischievous Kiss - Love in Tokyo, stars Miki Honoka and Yuki Furukawa in the lead roles as Kotoko Aihara and Naoki Irie, respectively. The premise of the story revolves around Kotoko, who falls in love with the school's most popular boy, Naoki. However, she was instantly rejected one she tried to give him a love letter, and vowed to give up on him as he was such a jerk. That day, Kotoko's house is hit by a shooting star and destroyed, leaving the family in a bind as the house is rebuilt. Luckily, her father receives an offer from his longtime friend to stay at their place, only for it to turn out to be the Iries' house! How will the relationship between Kotoko and Naoki go?
Mischievous Kiss - Love in Tokyo will be available to Crunchyroll members Worldwide except: Japan, Republic of Korea, People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Republic of the Philippines.
