New Album, Tour, DVD, and More from JAM Project

Japanese supergroup JAM Project, known for their heroic vocals in everything from Super Robot Wars to Sgt. Frog, had a slew of information for their fans last week, kicking off with samples of their latest DVD.

The group appeared together on the first-ever edition of Niconico's MOTTO! MOTTO!! Radio, which was also mirrored on the group's fan app. There, they talked about their new DVD/Blu-Ray release JAM Project LIVE TOUR 2016 ~AREA Z~, which came out yesterday in Japan. Users of the fan app got a first look at some of the new release's content.

The news didn't end there, though. The band -- made up of Masaaki Endoh, Masami Okui, Hiroshi Kitadani, Yoshiki Fukuyama, and "leader" Hironobu Kageyama -- has a busy few months ahead. They'll be performing live at the next World Cosplay Summit, which will be taking place July 29-August 6 in Nagoya.

The group will also be releasing a new album this fall, followed by a tour in November. Fans using the MOTTO! MOTTO!! app will have the first crack at buying tickets.

American fans can see JAM Project on August 11 at Otakon's Anisong World Matsuri in Washington, D.C.
