The official Twitter for the Kemono Friends anime franchise announced today that the TV anime's OP theme song "Yokoso Japari Park he" (Welcome to The Japari Park) performed by its VA unit Doubutsu Biscuits and PPP (PePaPu) had been certificated Gold for the period of April 2017 by The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) with over 100,000 paid downloads. Victor Entertainment has also confirmed that the song has been digitally purchased over 120,000 times by the end of last month.
The CD single was released on February 8 and was reportedly sold out on the following day. It reached its highest position of #18 in the Oricon weekly single ranking in its fifth week of the release. In the digital format, the song ranked #3 in the iTunes general ranking on its release day.
