"Kappeki Danshi! Aoyama-kun" Tidies Up With New Key Visual and Staff

Just in time for the 3rd of May (read as "Gomi no Hi", or "Garbage Day", in Japanese), the official website for Kappeki Danshi! Aoyama-kun ("Cleanliness Boy! Aoyama-kun") has updated with a new key visual, a new catch phrase, and new staff announcements.

The new key visual features 13 characters, including Aoyama-kun and his team mates. The accompanying catch-phrase states: "A battle where we absolutely cannot get dirty is right over there!"

Additionally, new staff members have been announced for the series. Hajime Takakuwa will serve as the sound director, while Hiroaki Tsutsumi and Tomotaka Ōsumi will provide the music for Kappeki Danshi! Aoyama-kun.

Kappeki Danshi! Aoyama-kun is a sports-comedy about a handsome young man named Aoyama who is a brilliant soccer player, but whose obsessive dedication to maintaining a neat and clean appearance drives his teammates crazy. For example, Aoyama will only perform a throw in if he's wearing cleaning gloves, and heading and tackling are just too messy!

The original Kappeki Danshi! Aoyama-kun manga by Taku Sakamoto is serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump manga magazine. The Kappeki Danshi! Aoyama-kun TV anime is directed by Kazuya Ichikawa and features animation by Studio Hibari. The series will broadcast in Japan in the Summer season of 2017.
