Having completed his efforts on Boro the Caterpillar, legendary director and bona fide workaholic Hayao Miyazaki has announced that he's got one more feature-length film in him, and he's looking for young animators and background artists to help him complete what he swears will be his last film (no, seriously, he really means it this time).
Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli are looking for a handful of animators and background artists to work as contract employees at their Tokyo location. The contract lasts for a period of 3 years beginning on October 01, 2017. The job offers wages starting at 200,000 yen ($1794.16 US) per month as well as 2 annual bonuses, local transportation expenses, an insurance package, and paid vacation time. Employees will work shifts from 10 AM - 7PM JST with a one hour break for meals, plus overtime where applicable.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, and the application process is open until July 20, 2017. There are no restrictions on gender or nationality in order to apply for the job, but would-be employees must be proficient enough in the Japanese language in order to meet the needs of the production.
