Dragon Quest fans in Japan will get a chance to celebrate the franchise's 30th anniversary along with Square Enix this year. Dragon Quest Summer Festival 2017 is an event lined up for August 5 and 6 at the Tokyo Big Sight exhibition center, offering a chance for a series retrospective and other special features.

One of those features is an anniversary within the larger anniversary. Dragon Quest X is preparing to party for its five-year anniversary with a stage show that includes celebrity guest appearances. While the Summer Festival itself is free, tickets to the stage show are currently being sold for ¥2,000 (about $18) a pop.
