Men Forbidden from Live-Action "Jellyfish Princess" Exhibit

With the live-action adaptation of Akiko Higashimura's josei manga Princess Jellyfish opening in Japan December 27th, the Parco Museum in Shibuya will be presenting a tie-in exhibit from December 19-January 12. In addition to featuring props and Kumiko Iijima's costume designs, quizzes will showcase the passions of the story's cast of otaku women (jellyfish, trains, Romance of the Three Kingdoms).

Reflecting the story's women's only Amamizukan apartment building, men are forbidden from the exhibit. And, reflecting the story's crossdressing Kuranosuke Koibuchi, the entrance will have some accessories to allow male visitors to circumvent the rule.

Taisuke Kawamura, who previously worked on several live-action adaptations based on popular manga series including Nodame Cantabile (Saishu Gakusho Kou-Hen in 2010), Kochikame - The Movie: Save The Kachidoki Bridge! (2011), and Himitsu no Akko-chan (2012), directs the film with a script by Toshiya Ohno (Suite PreCure♪, Gatchaman Crowds).

Cast includes Rena Nōnen as Tsukimi, Azusa Babazono as traditional clothes and dolls obsessed Chieko, Rina Ōta as Three Kingdoms geek Rina Ōta, Chizuru Ikewaki as train otaku Banba and Tomoe Shinohara as mature-man fangirl Jiji.

Masaki Suda is Kuranosuke Koibuchi, the son of a Japanese politician, a college student and an impressive cross-dresser.
