Led by 18 year-old Tsukimi Kurashita, Akiko Higashimura's Princess Jellyfish manga follows a group of NEET "Amars" (nuns) sharing a Tokyo apartment building. New cast photos of the upcoming live-action adaption feature Rena Nōnen as Tsukimi, Azusa Babazono as traditional clothes and dolls obsessed Chieko, Rina Ōta as Three Kingdoms geek Rina Ōta, Chizuru Ikewaki as train otaku Banba and Tomoe Shinohara as mature-man fangirl Jiji, with costumes by Kumiko Iijima, who has done work for the likes of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.
Taisuke Kawamura, who previously worked on several live-action adaptations based on popular manga series including Nodame Cantabile (Saishu Gakusho Kou-Hen in 2010), Kochikame - The Movie: Save The Kachidoki Bridge! (2011), and Himitsu no Akko-chan (2012), directs the film with a script by Toshiya Ohno (Suite PreCure♪, Gatchaman Crowds).
The live-action film Kurage Hime/Princess Jellyfish opens in Japan on December 27.
