American Animation Artist Presents Pop Idol and Rococo "Sailor Moon" Redesigns

Aimee Major Steinberger, a professional animation artist who worked on Phineas and Ferb and The Simpsons and served as Assistant Director on Futurama, as well as creating comic travelogue Japan Ai: A Tall Girl's Adventures in Japan, has recently posted her inspired, adorable pop idol and truly opulent, over-the-top rococo Sailor Moon redesigns.

Steinberger told Crunchyroll News:

I got really inspired watching the new Sailor Moon Crystal (thanks to crunchyroll). It reminded me of how much I love Sailor Moon and magical girl series. I wanted to do some costume redesigns that I thought cosplayers and other fans of magical girls would enjoy. One set I did inspired by my friend Charlene at Viz who loves Japanese anime pop idols like Love Live! The other set I wanted to be very opulent Rococo style covered in lace and rhinestones and inspired by lolita. In both sets I tried to add special details for each Sailor inspired by their personality and classic costumes.
