"Project Scissors" is the Spiritual Successor to the "Clock Tower" Series

Clock Tower is set to see its first spiritual successor in the form of Project Scissors, an upcoming horror franchise for PS Vita, iOS, and Android. Headed up by Hifumi Kouno of Nude Maker and involving Masahiro Ito of Silent Hill fame, Project Scissors could very well be a cut above the rest.

 

Set aboard a luxury cruise liner, a murder mystery unfolds when strange happenings begin to take place and the ship becomes adrift at sea. Players will take up the role of a passenger who's trapped on the ship and forced to solve a murder that takes place on board. Whether the character will be female or not, like Clock Tower's previous games, is anyone's guess.

 

Aside from Ito, who worked on creature designs for Silent Hill, Takashi Shimizu, director of the Ju-on films, is working on the game as a creative producer. He's also working on a live-action trailer for the game, so we can look forward to that as further details arise.
