The first part of the the trilogy film project, Shin Gekijo-ban Initial D: Legend 1-Kakusei (Awakening)- is scheduled to be released in Japan on August 23. The official site for the film has posted a short documentary video to show how the crew of the film recorded the sounds of the car battles at Tsukuba Circuit in Ibaraki Prefecture.
