Tsutaya Offering Free Rental of "When Marnie Was There" Theme Song CD

Studio Ghibli's latest anime film When Marnie Was There, the second feature work by 40-year-old Hiromasa Yonebayashi (The Secret World of Arrietty), hits Japanese theaters on July 19. To support the promotion of the film, Tsutaya, the biggest DVD/CD rental chain in Japan, has started offering a free rental of the single CD of the theme song "Fine On The Outside" by Priscilla Ahn for the limited time from today to July 16.


 


Priscilla Ahn is a Korean-American singer-song writer based in LA. Being a fan of the Studio Ghibli films, she released a cover song album "Natural Colors" which included "Kaze no Tani no Nausica" (Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind theme song) and "Yasashisa ni Tsutsumaretanara" (Kiki's Delivery Service ED theme song) in June 2012. The CD single of "Fine On The Outside" will go on sale in Japan on July 2. Check her video message with a little part of the song below.
