It looks like the upcoming North American release of Raiden IV: Overkill will be swooping in even closer to the Japanese version. It's due in North America on April 29, and the Japanese release is set for April 24.
When we previously reported on the shoot 'em up's arrival as a PlayStation Network download, it was pegged for an April 15 debut in Japan. The PS3 version includes the arcade game and Additional Mode from the Xbox 360 port, and adds an Overkill mode with a new scoring system.
Selectable ships include Fighting Thunder ME-02 Kai, Raiden-Mk II, and the Fairy below.
Raiden IV: Overkill will be priced at ¥2,970 ($29) when it hits PSN.
