“Final Fantasy” Artist Yoshitaka Amano Draws Album Cover of Enka Singer Sayuri Ishikawa



56-year-old Japanese enka singer Sayuri Ishikawa will release her second collaboration album “X-CrossII-” on April 23. Following Hirohiko Araki (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) for the first album “X-Cross-” released in September 2012, internationally renowned artist Yoshitaka Amano draws the cover illustration for her this time. Amano is best known for his illustration works for the Final Fantasy game franchise and Hideyuki Kikuchi’s Vampire Hunter D novel series.



In this 9-song second collaboration album, Ishikawa works with Ringo Sheena, TAKURO (GLAY), Marty Friedman (ex-Megadeth), Kaito Okachimachi, Naotaro Moriyama, Tamio Okuda, and Ryoichi Higuchi. Check the CD jackets illustrations, with PVs for “Anya no Shinjyudate” written/composed by Ringo Sheena and “Baby Baby” by Tamio Okuda for the albums below.
