Break Blade

Break Blade [ブレイクブレイド] (also known as Broken Blade) is an action-mecha anime based on the manga by Yoshinaga Yuunosuke [吉永裕ノ介]. There were six movie series released back then between 2010-2011 and now it is getting a recompiled TV series by Production I.G [プロダクション I.G] and XEBEC [ジーベック]. It's directed by Amino Tetsuro [アミノ テツロー] (Macross 7, Lupin III: The Last Job) and Habara Nobuyoshi [羽原 信義] (Fafner, D.N.Angel).

Break Blade will begin airing on TOKYO MX at 2014/04/06 23:00JST, on Sun TV [サンテレビジョン] at 2014/04/07 01:30JST, on AT-X at 2014/04/07 08:30JST, and on BS11 at 2014/04/08 24:30JST.

The story takes place on a continent named Cruzon, where everyone is born with magic and the ability to freely control quartz. Rygart Arrow is different - he is an "un-sorcerer", one who is unable to control quartz. He is sent a letter from an old acquaintance, Hodr, the king of Krisna, informing him that a war between the kingdom and the nation of Athens is about to break out. Hodr also mentions that Rygart is needed to be the pilot of an ancient Golem, that only an "un-sorcerer" can control, in order to fight against the invading army of Athens.
