McDonald’s Japan "American Vintage" Menu Launches Its Final Era

Anime would generally suggest that it's hard to find something more associated with American culture than the hamburger. So, it sounds like something of a dare to give hamburger some sort of extra American novelty, but McDonald's Japan is up for just that challenge. This winter, they've been offering special "American Vintage" menus.

This launch January 7th with a 50's diner theme. Special items included a Diner Double Beef (two beef patties, egg, onions, cheese, "Chicago-style" steak sauce, black pepper and roasted garlic mashed potatoes on a sesame bun),  Diner Honey Mustard chicken with the chicken filet, cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, and honey mustard and bacon flavor Cheese Fries, carried through the duration of the campaign.

Then, in late January, it was the "soul" themed 70's with Hot & Groovy Beef and Hot & Groovy Chicken - tomato salsa, onions, cheese, lettuce and sauce.

Finally, starting this week and running through March, it's the Pop Culture themed 80's with American BBQ Beef and American BBQ Chicken sandwitches, featuring pickles, mustard, lettuce, cheese, and barbecue sauce.

To celebrate the finale, they're giving away gift cards in a drawing of people who retweet their promo

 Enjoy!
