Resourcing company Dip has been branching into otaku business lately with an interactive app guide to pilgrimages to the locations that inspired popular anime. And, in time for the holiday, they've conducted a special Otaku Awareness Survey - Valentine's Day Edition.
70.1% said they'd choose their hobby over some 3D love... Happy Valentine's Day!
Most of the otaku were into anime, followed by manga, games, computers and music.
A plurality spent up to 50000 yen annually on their otaku hobbies
66.3% said that never feel shame about being an otaku
42.4% of the surveyed want to go for top otaku event contender Comiket, and 26.6% have been.
