Forbidden Magna—the recently announced simulation RPG from Marvelous AQL and some of the folks behind the Rune Factory series—is currently in development for Nintendo 3DS. Producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto put a message on the official website saying Forbidden Magna came from the desire to "make something new" following the development of Rune Factory 4, and you can see some of what they've cooked up in the debut screens and artwork below.
The story centers on Lux, an innkeeper who meets and befriends various spirits who end up as employees at the inn. Things really kick into gear when Lux meets Charlotte, a girl with destructive powers, and discovers a major truth about the world.
