Popular anime voice actress Haruka Tomatsu celebrates her 24th birthday today on February 4. She was born in Ichinomiya-city, Aichi Prefecture, on February 4, 1990. With other Sphere members Aki Toyosaki, Minako Kotobuki, and Ayahi Takagai, she passed the 1st "Music Ray'n Super Seiyu Audition" in 2005 and formed the voice actress idol group with them in February 2009.
Her first role as a professional anime voice actress was a student in the 2007 TV anime Gakuen Utopia Manabi Straight!. After voicing her first lead characters Nagi in Kannnagi, Shiho Sannomiya in Zettai Karen Children, and Lala Satalin Deviluke in To Love-Ru all in 2008, her popularity rose dramatically. As one of the busiest voice actresses in Japan, she voiced in 19 TV anime series, four anime films, and 11 video/social games last year. Her most attended anime character of 2014 is Cure Fortune in Happinesscharge PreCure!, the 11th installment of Toei Animation's nationally popular TV anime series.
As a solo singer, she has released 12 singles and two albums. Her latest single "Hikari Gift" was released
on January 15, 2014, getting a very good 11th place in the Oricon weekly single ranking.
