The official site for the highly anticipated anime film PreCure All Stars New Stage 3: Eien no Tomodachi (Eternal Friends) reported yesterday that 21-year-old Japanese actress Ayame Goriki finished her voice recording session for the film. She plays a girl named Nami, the film's original character who is trapped in the dream world. Cure Heart (Dokidoki! PreCure) and Cure Lovely (Happinesscharge PreCure!) were also at the session to support Goriki who has little experiences in dubbing. She says, "I have watched the series since it started. I am so happy to be able to cheer PreCure on in the film and to be in the PreCure world."
As far as I know, her only previous voice work was for the Japanese dub for Ridley Scott's 2012 film Prometheus, in which she dubbed Noomi Rapace as Elizabeth Shaw, the female protagonist of the film. Her poor monotone voice performance was amazingly terrible and fiercely criticized by the audience.
So, many PreCure fans were surprised and mad at the news of her joining the film last month. Let's just
hope she is doing better this time. The third and final installment of the "New Stage" series will be released
in Japan on March 15.
