A banner day of new announcements at Crunchyroll continues as the game crazy school comedy Tonari no Seki-kun: The Master of Killing Time joins the winter simulcast lineup.
Tonari no Seki-kun: The Master of Killing Time is set to broadcast every Sunday starting on January 5, at 11:00a.m. Pacific Time for its premium members, with free members able to watch one week later. More information can be found on www.crunchyroll.com/sekikun.
Originally based on a manga written and illustrated by Takuma Morishige, Tonari no Seki-kun: The Master of Killing Time centers around student Rumi Yokoi and her enigmatic desk mate, Toshinari Seki. Although Seki is constantly playing incredibly elaborate games at his desk instead of paying attention in class, he is somehow never caught, and Rumi can’t help but observe his many ways of slacking off during class.
Hiro Shimono, known for his role as Connie Springer in the hit Attack on Titan and The World God Only Knows’ Keima Katsuragi, will be voicing the titular Seki-kun, and Kana Hanazawa, Charles Dunois in Infinite Stratos and Manaka Mukaido from Nagi no Asukara, not only stars as Rumi but will also be providing the opening theme song as well, “Meiwaku Spectacle.”
Tonari no Seki-kun: The Master of Killing Time will be available to Crunchyroll’s Premium members worldwide ex Asia, and to Free members in the following territories: USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand South Africa, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden.
