"Tokyo Ghoul" Live-Action Film English-Subtitled New Trailer Introduces More Scenes, Theme Song by illion

The official website for the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Sui Ishida's dark fantasy manga series Tokyo Ghoul has released an Englisch-subtitled three-minute special trailer to introduce more footage, including the battle between the protagonist Ken Kaneki and Koutaro Amon, and the theme song "BANKA," performed by illion which is the solo project of RADWIMPS' vocalist/guitarist Youjiro Noda.

 

"BANKA" will be available digitally in 110 countries/regions worldwide on July 21, and will be included in the delux edition of illion's 2nd album "P.Y.L" to be released on July 26.

 

The Masataka Kubota (Death Note TV drama)-starring film will open in Japan on July 29.

Also as reported, the film's world premiere screening will be held at Anime Expo in Los Angeles on July 3,

one week ahead of its Japanese premiere at the Marunouchi Piccadilly theater in Tokyo on July 10.

The European premiere screening is set to be held between the two, July 7 in Berlin, Germany. The film is

planned to be released in at least 23 regions/countries in North America, Asia, and Europe.
