Many fans were left a little deflated after the recent Pokémon Direct presentation, which primarily revealed Pokkén Tournament DX for Switch. Nintendo finally gave everyone what they wanted during today's stream, though, officially announcing a "core" Pokémon RPG for Nintendo Switch.
We'll have to wait a while for the game itself. According to The Pokémon Company president Tsunekazu Ishihara, Game Freak has begun development, but it may not release for over a year.
In the meantime, start dreaming up your ideal Switch Pokémon RPG!
