Discotek to Bring "Galaxy Express 999" Films, "HELLS," and "Kaiba" to Blu-ray

Discotek Media had its AnimeNEXT panel today and, as promised, a few announcements were made. A handful of titles will be making their way to Blu-ray in the future, including the Galaxy Express 999 (1979) and Adieu Galaxy Express 999 (1981) anime films, which were previously released on DVD.

The Rintaro-directed features will make their Blu-ray debut later this year.

Also on the way is Madhouse's HELLS anime film, as well as the Kaiba TV anime directed by Masaaki Yuasa (Ping Pong, Mind Game, The Tatami Galaxy). Both originally premiered in 2008; HELLS is coming to Blu-ray and DVD, and Kaiba will be released in a Blu-ray/DVD combo.
