"Clione no Akari" Gets Start Date and New Visuals

The upcoming anime Clione no Akari (Light of Clione) -- based on the popular web novel of the same name -- has set its premiere date. Starting next month, it can be seen on AT-X and Tokyo MX every Wednesday evening.

The official site has also released a height comparison of the main cast, as well as character settings of the three "Taiyaki Sisters."

Clione no Akari features Minori, a bullied girl who becomes ill and stops coming to school despite the efforts of her friends Takashi and Kaori. Two months later, the two receive a mysterious anonymous text, telling them about a summer festival in the neighboring town.

 

The series is directed by Puro Ishikawa and features animation from drop.
