"Birthdays the Beginning" Starts the Creative Process with New Screens

NIS America is gearing up for the early May launch of Harvest Moon creator Yasuhiro Wada's new sandbox game, Birthdays the Beginning. The latest update includes a fresh batch of screens, showing off aspects of Challenge Mode, the Mysterious Glass Jar item that saves an organism's genetic information, and more.

Challenge Mode gives players a set amount of years and special conditions in which they will need to complete a certain challenging task. One example is creating and capturing a plesiosaurus or tyrannosaurus rex.

Once you save genetic information in the Mysterious Glass Jar, you can decide when and where to convert it back into an organism. As the official description asks, "What will happen when you force a creature into a habitat it's not accustomed to?"

Birthdays the Beginning features over 300 unique creatures to capture, and you'll constantly be able to create new environments and conditions for life, potentially eliminating certain species in the process.

The full game hits PS4 in North America and Europe on May 9 and 12, respectively, with the PC release set for May 9.
