The cute kitten and puppy mascot characters of Sony Creative Projects' Tama & Friends are getting an anthropomorphic make-over in an upcoming spin-off project tentatively titled Uchi Tama!? which re-imagines Tama, Momo, Pochi, and the rest of the 3-chome gang as people with animal ears and tails.
So far, the only official release for Uchi Tama!? is a thin book that was distributed at the AnimeJapan 2017 conference, which ran from March 23 - 26, 2017 at the Tokyo Big Sight venue in Koto Ward, Tokyo, Japan.
The Uchi Tama!? project plans to expand in "many directions", so possibilities for the future might include character goods and / or an anime adaptation. An official web site for the project has also been published.
