Coming this summer, KissxSis director Munenori Nawa and studio feel will be adapting Kotaro Kosugi's 4-panel manga Futsu no Joshikosei ga [Locodol] Yattemita (Ordinary High School Girls Tried Being Local Idols).
The anime characters are designed by Yumi Shimizu (chief animation director for Listen to Me, Girls. I Am Your Father!), while Yunini Ayana (Kiniro Mosaic) works on series composition.
The story focuses on two high school girls, Nanako Usami (CV:Miku Ito) and Yukari Kohinata (CV: Sachika Misawa), who happen to work as local idol unit "Nagarekawa Girls." The "Nagarekawa-city" in the story is based on the real Nagarekawa area in Hiroshima Prefecture.
