It was officially confirmed on February 20 that 23-year-old voice actress Rie Murakawa will sing "Asuiro," the OP theme for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of PS3 game Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky. She also voices one of the two protagonists, Escha Malier, in both the game and anime. The game was released by GUST in Japan on June 27, 2013, as the 15th installment of the popular Atelier series and the sequel to the 14th title Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk released in June 2012.
Murakawa made her debut as a professional anime voice actress for Coco in the Fairy Tail TV anime in 2011. She has sung in several anime character albums including for Vividred Operation (as Aoi Futaba) and Non Non Biyori (as Hotaru Ichijyo), but "Asuiro" is her first song as a solo singer herself. The title of the song could be translated as "The Color of Tomorrow." She plans to perform the song at the anime's talk
event stage in Anime Japan 2014 on March 22. The TV anime directed by Yoshiaki Iwasaki (The Familiar of
Zero, Hayate the Combat Butler) is scheduled to premiere in April.
