Yu Kobayashi Draws Her New Year's Dream

Hatsuyume refers to the first dream of the New Year, sometimes coming into January 2nd if sleep was skipped on the night of the 1st. These dreams are significant in that they are supposed to portend luck in the New Year. You've probably seen the grouping of Mount Fuji, a hawk, and an eggplant in anime. These are supposed to be a particularly fortuitous subject to dream about.

Today, voice actress Yu Kobayashi (Attack on Titan's Sasha) offered some of her notorious art sketching this year's hatsuyume.

She also did a New Year's illustration for weekly women's magazine Josei Jishin

She's also recently posted photos...

preparing to launch a collaboration with fashion brand SUPER LOVERS

From her New Years concert with Masaya Onosaka  and Yukari Goto
